Dennis Sulta / Bradley Zero - The Timber Yard
Design done for Novel and the Dennis Sulta / Bradley Zero show which took place at The Timber Yard, Port Melbourne.
Nestling neatly into the rustic atmosphere that is already present at the Timber Yard, the stage relies entirely recycled hardwood to create it’s facade and patterns. Most timber used was reclaimed fence palings, which have now found a new life as part of this modular and collapsible stage.
Two mountainous wings of ever increasing height flank either side of the artist, successfully veiling the back of house equipment and neatly framing the stage space within. Five 3 dimensional diamonds make up the centre-piece of the stage. Their constant alternations in wood grains resulting in a unique and individual effect for each one.
These diamonds were expertly mirrored by VizFx in pixel-mapped LED panels behind the artists, which led to some incredible visuals as the sun faded through the warehouse windows.
